My Top Tips For Making The Most Of Spring Days

Posted: April 28, 2015

The weather doesn’t seem to want to agree but I think we are pretty safe to say that spring has finally arrived! Longer days, colourful flowers and shops filled with Easter chocolate are firmly here so I thought that I would take this opportunity to share some of my top tips for making the most of these lovely spring days!

1. Enjoy time outdoors

Make the most of the longer days by getting outdoors and enjoying that fresh air. My absolute favourite family-friendly things to do during spring are taking long walks in the countryside, visiting local parks, day trips to the seaside, nights away, taking picnics out and visiting local farms/ attractions.

Green teas are packed full of natural antioxidants and flavonoids and I must say, they really do taste delicious too

2. Declutter and spring clean

Spring signals the beginning of the car boot season so take this opportunity to get rid of anything that no longer has a place in your home and maybe make a few pennies in the process. Decluttering has countless benefits including giving you more space around the home, a clearer mind and more time to yourself so give it a go!

3. Bring the outside in

I absolutely love having large jugs of spring flowers dotted round our house at this time of year. Daffodils and tulips are my absolute favourite, I always pick these up very cheaply at local markets and they cheer me up no end!

4. Local events

There’s always something fun to do in my local area and even more so in spring. Our local community holds a lantern carnival each April and there are heaps of farmers markets, table top sales and craft fairs. Check your local listings for what’s on near you!

5. Change your diet

Spring is the perfect time to switch things up a bit with your diet. I’ve been swapping hearty meals for lots of salads and light pasta meals recently, cutting down on the cake (I’m a complete cake fiend!) and eating more fruit.

I’ve also been enjoying delving into my stash of Clipper green teas which has been a delightful change to my usual cuppa. Green teas are packed full of natural antioxidants and flavonoids and I must say, they really do taste delicious too! I’ve really been surprised by the flavoured green teas. My favourites so far from the Clipper range are the Pear & Honey, Cranberry and Jasmine flavours…. ok I admit it, they are perfect with a sneaky small slice of cake too!

We've gone a bit bonkers at Clipper HQ and decided we wanted to share the love with our lovely Clipper tea drinkers out there! We’ve created 3 Limited Edition tea caddies and each comes FREE with our special packs of Fairtrade Everyday Tea, Organic Everyday Tea and Pure Green tea (80 tea bags).

We’ve also made thousands of unbleached Clipper tea-towels and popped them into other packs of our Fairtrade Everyday Tea (80 bags). There are 4 different designs to look out for. And if that wasn’t enough, we’ve only gone and put 100% more tea bags into boxes of our Pure Green Tea 26  Bags – yes we’ve squeezed 52 bags in there!
